The WaLSA team comprises scientists who are funded by their own institutions/universities that may include both internal and external grants. The support from these institutions and funding agencies, listed below, are greatly appreciated.
As well as the following agancies:
European Space Agency (ESA)
Additionally, the WaLSA Team continually seeks grants from various international funding agencies to particularly support its face-to-face meetings over the coming years. The WaLSA Team is most grateful to these generous supports (listed below).
A generous grant has been awarded to the WaLSA Team by the Research Council of Norway through its Centres of Excellence scheme, project number 262622 (the Rosseland Centre for Solar Physics; RoCS), to organise two 1-week meetings in Oslo, Norway, during 2019. The grant supports the team for local expenses as well as the meeting facilities.
The WaLSA Team has received a prestigious grant from The Royal Society (of the UK) to host a Theo Murphy international meeting in February 2020 at Chicheley Hall (home of the Kavli Royal Society International Centre). The grant provides a comprehensive support to the WaLSA team, covering the travel and all local expenses. The meeting was also selected for publication in a dedicated issue of the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society A.
